SEMINAR ”METHODOLOGY OF OS AND QF DEVELOPMENT.(PART 2)”TOOK PLACE AT UNIVERSITY OF NICOSIA University, CYPRUS

On May 2-7 seminar “Methodology of Qualification Standards (QS) and Qualification Framework (QF) development” took place at University of Nicosia, Cyprus, in the framework of EurDiQ project. The project aims at harmonizing Study Programmes and National Qualification Framework of the tourist industry in Russia and Kyrgyzstan. Within the project the development and implementation of the innovative networking Master Study Programme in tourism in partner universities is foreseen. The training focused at advancing partner universities teachers’ competence in developing of up to date educational programmes using competence based and practice-oriented approach and European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Seminar’s participants highly valued the European Partners’ reports about sustainable tourism development, implementation of innovative technologies into tourist industry, strategies of tourist industry development in consortium partner countries. The important result of the seminar is approvement of the structure and content of the Modules recommended for inclusion into the new networking Master Programme, among the Modules are the following: Sustainability of tourism, Event management , Destination development, Main principals of tourist management, Health tourism, Quality management in tourism etc.
