EURDIQ Project Quality Assessment Meeting
On April 11, 2018 Saint Petersburg State University of Economics hosted a seminar devoted to the “Modern approaches to organising distance learning”. The seminar was held as part of the meeting concerned with quality assessment of EURDIQ – one of the projects of the Erasmus+ Programme co-founded by the European Commission – “European Dimension in Qualifications for the Tourist Sector”. Elena Gorbashko, DSc in Economics, Professor, Vice-Rector for Research at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, and Marina Gunare, Project Grantholder, Professor at the Baltic International Academy (Riga, Latvia), addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Olga Zubkova, a representative of the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld (Germany), shared her experience in organising distance learning practices at her university. Svetlana Sirmbard made a presentation to explore “The experience of ADAM University (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) in organising distance learning based on the results of Tempus and Erasmus+ projects”. Elena Chernysheva, Head of the International Projects Department at Don State Technical University, gave an account of the way distance learning is being implemented at DSTU following the best practices of Tempus and Erasmus+ projects. The seminar culminated in a special ceremony – the opening of the Resource Centre for Tourism Development in the North-West of Russia.
