EURDIQ PROJECT WAS ANNOUNCED AT TOURISM TRADE FAIR ITB BERLIN 2016, GERMANY.
Tourism trade fair ITB Berlin 2016, which is a leading forum in tourism industry takes place in Berlin 9-13 March 2016. From the experts’ points of view, the exhibition announces brand-new tendencies in tourism industry development, global trends for tourism product establishment as well as relevant segments of tourism industry implementation. The exhibition is a guide to integration of advanced IT technologies in tourism sector; it attracts principal tour operators, authorities, corporate clients and private customers.
In the framework of ITB Berlin trade fair members of consortium presented Erasmus + project “European Dimension in Qualifications for the Tourist Sector” (EurDiQ) implemented since December 2015. The main objective of the project is to harmonize educational programs of tourism industry in Russia and Kyrgyzstan with learning outcomes and qualification standards integration based on best European practices. Realization of this project contributes to competitiveness and employment of partner countries graduates. During the implementation of this project, pilot version of master’s program in tourism is to be developed by partners from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Germany, Great Britain and Cyprus. Within the forum, members of consortium are going to visit Training Centre for specialists in tourism industry under Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participate in master classes held by outstanding chefs, familiarize with training programs for tourism specialists (waiter, chef, porter, etc.). The facilitator of the international forum is University of Applied Sciences of Schwerin (Germany).
